What is Railway Land?

  1. Freehold Land

    This type of land can be used either for railway purposes or mixed development, depending on the conditions stated in the land title.
    However, priority is always given to the railway industry.

    Freehold land is divided into two categories:
    1. Permanent
    2. Leasehold

       
  2. Reserved Land

    This land can only be developed for railway purposes. It falls under three categories:
    1. Surveyed and gazetted reserve
    2. Surveyed but not gazetted reserve
    3. Unsurveyed and not gazetted reserve
