The Cargo Hub Terminal Project is a private investment project where Infinity will implement the Build-Operate-Maintain & Transfer (BOMT) model for a period of 12 years. Infinity will develop cargo hub terminals in 6 strategic locations, namely Taiping, Pulau Sebang, Mengkibol, Pasir Gudang, Batu Gajah and Kota Bharu, Perak. RAC will lease land to Infinity at a nominal rate over a period of 12 years to support this development. This project is in line with the “Road to Rail” initiative by the Ministry of Transport (MOT), which aims to shift cargo transportation from road to rail, with a large number of TEUs expected to be moved by rail. Through the implementation of this cargo hub terminal, RAC can reduce the number of lorries on the road, improve logistics efficiency, and strengthen the country’s rail transport network.
